Orbiton is a digital synthesizer with a novel method of control
We are developing an acoustic interface built around physical lamellas that are set into vibration when a key is pressed. This design gives musicians a richly tactile way to shape sound, moving beyond the limitations of traditional velocity-based keys.
By using real acoustic vibrations, Orbiton responds continuously to the nuances of the musician's gestures—much like an acoustic instrument. This creates an expressive, organic connection between performer and sound that conventional interfaces can't achieve.
